Devka Vidyapeeth Overview

Fifteen years ago, Pu. Bhaishri set his eyes on none other than his birth place “Devka” to provide high school education to the children in and around Rajula. Under Pu. Bhaishri’s guidance Vidya Vikas Charitable Trust was formed in Montville NJ in 2001 in order to accomplish this ambitious goal with the help from Indians living in U.S.A.  Overcoming various bureaucratic and financial challenges Devka Vidyapeeth was finally built in 2012. Pu. Bhaishri’s dream has now become a reality which affords high quality education to children; especially girls who were deprived of quality education. Devka Vidyapeeth imparts education in Gujarat Board Gujarati Medium and English Medium from grade 5 to 12 and CBSE Board from grade 1 to 6 in English Medium.

Devka Vidyapeeth has state of the art chemistry, biology and physics labs. The school also has an advanced computer lab for Information Technology education.  Its well organized library has a huge collection of books from world literature, latest encyclopedias, reference books and other collections in various languages.  With Pu. Bhaishri’s blessings and guidance, the school is well managed by trustees, management, faculty and the staff.

Pu. Bhaishri believes that the environment of schools should be such that every child looks forward to going to school and enjoys his or her time there.  Students of Devka Vidyapeeth are performing well above normal and some are doing exceptionally well.  Vidya Vikas Charitable trust is proud of these students and is providing scholarships to some of the talented students.

Effective August 2015, Devka Vidyapeeth has started offering College level courses in commerce, science and computer applications and ITI courses in various vocational trades.  A new building for ITI courses is currently under construction and expected to be ready by April 2017.

Pu. Bhaishri’s visions and heart is so big for imparting knowledge and education that he has not limited himself only to his karmbhumi (Porbandar) and birthplace (Devka), but has also undertaken a government school as far as Saputara.
